Covid PCR Test Milton Keynes
Looking for a Covid PCR Test in Milton Keynes?
Jardines Pharmacy have the solution for you. We are offering you the opportunity to jet off on your travels with reliable Fit to Fly Testing. Covid has had a monumental impact on the travel industry; millions of people were forced to cancel their travel plans in 2020. However, with more and more vaccinations being administered every day, airlines are starting to reintroduce travel. As a result, things are looking brighter; this is thanks to PCR tests such as ours.
What is a Covid PCR Test?
Many airlines and destinations now require proof of a negative Covid test result in the 48-72 hours prior to travel. PCR stands for Polymerase Chain Reaction. This is used to detect the active presence of Covid-19 antigens. PCR testing does not detect antibodies, which are the body's immune response.
Explicitly, this test determines whether or not someone has the virus very early on, through its detection of RNA (ribonucleic acid). RNA is found before antibodies form, or before symptoms start to appear. Therefore, the test gives an accurate indication of who is, and who is not, infected at the time of testing. This offers airlines and countries greater control over the spread of the virus.
Why do I need the test?
Covid PCR/ Fit to Fly tests are designed to provide the necessary documentation for people of all ages that are looking to travel abroad for varying reasons. An updated list of countries that require Covid test-related certification can be found on the Foreign Office Website.
**PLEASE NOTE: This test is not suitable for those who have experienced symptoms up to 28 days prior to the test, or those who currently have Covid symptoms. If you belong to either of these categories, you should instead follow Government guidance in relation to testing and self-isolating.
